Transforming student skills into career success.
About Me
B.S. Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences ,UW Madison,U.S.A.
M.S. (CCSD) , St. Cloud State University,Minnesota, U.S.A.
Coming from the cosmopolitan hub of Dubai to parents who are both accomplished and renowned physicians, my journey has been shaped by a global perspective and a passion for helping others reach their potential.
Educational Background
My academic path led me from Dubai to the U.S.A., where I earned dual bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison ,U.S.A.
Later, recognizing my true calling in higher education and student development, I pursued a master's degree in College Counseling and Student Development at St. Cloud State University. Minnesota, U.S.A.
Professional Experience
After completing my undergraduate studies, I joined PwC (a Big Four firm), in New York City, where I spent 3.5 years in their Advisory practice as a technology consulting associate.
During this time, I had the privilege of serving Fortune 500 clients and global non-profits, developing valuable skills in problem-solving and strategic thinking.
However, I discovered that my greatest fulfillment came from guiding students through their academic and career journeys. This realization prompted my transition to higher education, where after my M.S. (CCSD) ,at St. Cloud State University,Minnesota, U.S.A.,I gained invaluable experience through Academic Advising at UW-Madison and Career Counseling at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
My contributions to the field of career development were recognized with the Minnesota Career Development Association's 2023 Graduate Student Award—an honor that affirmed my commitment to this path.
Currently
I serve as the Assistant Director for Career Coaching for the Master's in Business Analytics (MSBA) program at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, where I help students navigate their professional aspirations and maximize their potential.
Philosophy & Approach
With over five years of experience in student services spanning academic advising, career counseling, student development, programming, and wellness coaching, I firmly believe in the transformative power of mentorship.
My approach centers on empowering students to discover their strengths and pursue meaningful career paths while making the most of their collegiate experience.
Beyond Work
When I'm not working with students, you'll find me exploring new vegetarian restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert spots around town. I'm also an avid traveler who has visited many countries around the globe-
Singapore, Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, France, Egypt, India, the United Kingdom, Dubai (U.A.E), Oman, Turkey and the Netherlands—apart from 10 states across U.S.A.
My global perspective, shaped by a multicultural upbringing and education in Dubai combined with my professional experience in the United States, enables me to bring a unique and inclusive approach when working with students from diverse backgrounds.
I understand that each student's situation and needs are unique to them. Tell me more about what you're looking for, and I will get back to you soon with some ideas.
